Nestled in the charming town of Appling, Georgia, just a short drive from Augusta, we are blessed to be guided by Rev. Dosye Kenneth Allen. At Olive Grove, we live by the belief that "Faith Without Works is DEAD." We are a community that nurtures faith through action, offering a variety of ministries and special programs designed to support and uplift our youth. Rev. Dosye Kenneth Allen &
Leading Lady Dr. Yolanda Allen
Dosye Kenneth Allen is a native of Georgia. He is the son of the late Deacon Dosye Allen and Dorothy Allen. Ken was born on December 16, 1964, in Augusta, Georgia. Likewise, he grew up in a loving home and shared his life’s journey with four siblings (Earnestine, Benjamin, Larry, and Brenda). Ken was introduced to Christ and accepted Him at an early age. Having been converted at a young age, he developed a passion for serving and teaching. Through numerous activities within the church both locally and in Athens, Ken strengthened his relationship and confessed his calling to preach the gospel in 2007. Consequently, He was licensed in 2013 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church under the Rev. Clarence Moore. Prior to becoming Pastor of Olive Grove Baptist Church in Appling, Ken taught in church school, teen’s church, children’s church, and the bible academy at Good Shepherd Baptist Church of Augusta, Ga.
Rev. Allen was educated in the Richmond County Public School System and graduated from Glenn Hills High School. Upon graduating from high school, he went on to receive multiple degrees from the University of Georgia, a bible college diploma in Biblical Studies from Faith Bible Institute, a certificate as a mental coach from Light University.
Currently, Ken is a pharmacy coordinator for Piedmont Hospital of Augusta where he has been practicing for over thirty-four years. Aside from work and church, Ken spends time in the community serving others through Neighborhood Outreach Ministries, Inc. which is his non- profit organization. His community accomplishments have been numerous collaborations that primarily target the homeless population, married couples, the youth, and the disenfranchised.
Over the years, Ken has been a facilitator over a virtual married couples bible study which is held monthly online. Additionally, he avails himself to teach bible study virtually for other congregations when asked.
Rev. Allen is a man who loves God, God’s people, and the Word of God. He enjoys family time; relaxing, reading and learning whatever he can to share with others. Furthermore, Ken enjoys preaching and teaching the Word of God with power, conviction, and simplicity at every opportunity that avails without compromise. Nevertheless, he believes that all things are possible through Christ. Jesus Christ and no other, is the feature, focus and function of his ministry. In all that Ken says and does, he continuously gives God the Glory and Honor for the opportunity to be a servant leader. Ken has been married to his lovely wife Yolanda for over seventeen years. Together, they have six adult children and five grandchildren.
